The original Macintosh keyboard had no arrow keys. Steve Jobs intended all navigation to be by mouse. This lack of UX insight was understandable at the time, as very few people used mice (and Jobs’ ability to assume he knew what was best for everyone was as strong as it ever was). And the arrow-less keyboard didn’t last long.
