My first Apple was a refurbed MacBook Pro. Apple refurbs are elibigle for Applecare, so I got it and needed it 2 or 3 times over the length of the protection. Since then I've gotten it with every Apple I've purchased.

Two years ago I slopped milk onto the keyboard of my MacBook Air. Apple Support told me under AppleCare+ it would take $299, which was much better than $999 or more for a new machine. To my surprise, they turned around the fix in less than 24 hours and only charged me $99!
