If we held the companies we use to a moral standard we would buy nothing, because no corporation has moral standards. In America, publicly held corporations have one goal, to make money (by legal means). If they fail at that, they can be held to account by their shareholders, customers or legal authorities. Apple is no different in that respect from Samsung or Google or Microsoft. Consumers certainly are able to vote with their dollars, and no one is forcing the writer or anyone else to buy Apple products.

There’s nothing wrong with the writing in this article, but the arguments presented are one-sided. It’s fine to have opinions; just don’t imagine you’ll change very many minds.
