I agree that this is a concern, so the better strategy is to use AI for suggestions. I’ve been using the Rephrase function in ProWritingAid and I think, over the course of a 75,000 word novel MS, I used the software’s suggestion once. But a lot of other times Rephrase helped me think of a new way to say things, or included just the right word, without my simply dropping its (sometimes hilarious) suggestions verbatim.
