Another strange language is TECO. The name is an acronym for Tape (or Text) Editor and COrrecor. It’s a text editor where every character you type in is a command for entering or manipulating text, and it resembles line noise. Macros intended to simplify its hairy syntax were the origins of the legendary text editor EMACS, whose name was an acronym for Editor MACroS. Examples and even executable versions of TECO can be found online.
